Sogema Engineering history

35 years of excellence and innovation to be recognized today as one of the world leader in the design and manufacture of a full range of workshop equipment dedicated to railway maintenance.

1980

Creation of SOGEMA (Société Générale de Mécanique appliquée). The company’s activities were organized into two divisions: the maintenance for the mechanical, hydraulic and electrical equipment and the design of special machines for the railway industry.


1990

Relocation of the company to modern 2,500m² premises in Lys-Lez-Lannoy North zone.

2000

Creation of SOGEMA Engineering offering a full range of products dedicated to the manufacture of railway equipment for maintenance workshops all over the world.


2010

Take-over and integration of the machining company, SUMECA.


2013

SOGEMA Engineering, as a leader in the railway maintenance equipment, confirm their strong partnership with CIM Group (Compagnie Internationale de Maintenance)


Today

SOGEMA Engineering become SEG, a trademark of the CIM group. SEG brings its great competence and experience in the supply of workshop equipment dedicated to railway maintenance.
